where we started

The initial back yard was quite a mess. A lot of work was needed just to make it livable. The back yard was sort of a shadowy overgrown jungle of trash trees and ground cover.

Initially, we had tree surgeons come and clean out a large number of trash trees, and trim up the ones we intended to keep.
